July 21, 2020 – Highly-respected Detroit street gang boss Reggie (The Dude) Dancy was released from federal prison last week and checked into a halfway house in Texas. Dancy, 50, is the leader of the PA Boys crew, based on Puritan Avenue on Detroit’s Northwest side. At the height of Dancy’s power in the early 2000s, the PA Boys maintained close ties to both the Black Mafia Family and Detroit superstar rapper Eminem’s music camp.
Dancy’s second-in-command, Dammone (Slim) Brantley was released from prison back in the winter. They were busted together in 2003 in a major DEA investigation that resulted in a pair of 20-year bids. According to federal court records, Dancy and Brantley were aligned with iconic BMF boss Demetrius (Big Meech) Flenory, who had left Detroit for Atlanta in the 1990s while building his BMF empire into the Walgreens of cocaine and expanding throughout the country. DEA documents point to the PA Boys as being used by Flenory for a variety of subcontracting duties in Michigan on behalf of BMF.
Federal surveillance teams followed Dancy and Brantley on trips to Atlanta to visit Flenory and when Flenory was back home in Motown, DEA agents tracked the PA Boys bosses to parties in private suites at sporting events and rap concerts Big Meech hosted. Brantley ran the PA Boys out-of-state satellites in Alabama, Georgia, Tennessee and North Carolina. Flenory, 51, is awaiting a ruling from U.S. District Court Judge David Lawson in Detroit on a motion for compassionate release due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Deshawn (Proof) Holton, a member of record-selling rap god Eminem’s side group D12 was cousins with PA Boys enforcer Thelmon (T-Stuck) Stuckey. Proof was killed in a bar fight in 2006 at an after hours club. Stuckey is doing life in prison for murdering a former cop.
