September 20, 2020 – Hamilton mafia hired-gun Michael Cudmore was found slain in Mexico back in the summer, charting another murder in the long-raging Canadian Mob War across the border. The body count is in the hundreds by now.

The 39-year old Cudmore was shot behind the wheel of a car left in a ditch in June, according to reports that broke late last week out of Canada. He died a fugitive of the law, the No. 1 suspect in the 2017 killings of Hamilton mob underboss Angelo (Big Ange) Mustiano and innocent bystander Mila Barberi, the girlfriend of an intended victim.

Musitano was shot dead in front of his suburban Hamilton residence on May 2, 2017. Barberi had been accidentally killed in an attack on her mob figure boyfriend, Saviero Serrano in broad daylight in the Woodbridge section of Vaughan, Ontario, two and a half months, before on March 17, 2017.

According to RCMP, Cudmore bolted the country in the days after the Big Ange Musitano hit and joined his buddy, Toronto mob crew boss, Daniel (Dark Danny) Ranieri, on the run in Mexico. Ranieri, 33, oversaw rackets in Toronto on behalf of Montreal’s Rizzuto crime family and was discovered dead in a ditch, bound and gagged and shot twice in the back of the head in February 2018 in the resort town of Cancun. The Musitano family had deep historical ties to the Rizzutos.

Unrest in the Rizzuto clan in the late 2000s ignited the entire underworld landscape in Canada like a tinderbox, resulting in massive upheaval and dissidence that spread from Quebec to Ontario and hasn’t slowed down since. Hamilton mob don Pasquale (Fat Pat) Musitano, Big Ange’s older brother, was gunned down in a drive-by shooting in the parking lot of a furniture store in Burlington, Ontario back in July.

Cudmore had a warrant issued for his arrest in September 2018 for the murders of Big Ange Musitano and Mila Barberi. Authorities in Ontario, also issued warrants for Jabirl Abdalla and Danny Tomassetti, his alleged co-conspirators in the Musitano and Barberi homicides. Abdalla was taken into custody in 2018. Tomassetti remains at large.
