November 5, 2021 — Reputed mega Detroit mob bookmaker Joseph (Joe D) DiStefano died recently at 79. DiStefano passed away from natural causes back in July. He was a staple of the Michigan betting scene for decades. According to an FBI document from 1997, Joe D’s sizable sports gambling business made big bucks and paid tribute to the Tocco-Zerilli crime family.
