July 24, 2020 – A reputed Hawaiian crime lord ordered the murder of a young man he held responsible for his son’s death in a car accident five years ago, according to a federal RICO indictment filed late last week. Alleged Honolulu mob boss Michael (Brother Mike) Miske and ten co-defendants were indicted on 22 counts of racketeering, including first-degree homicide, kidnapping, robbery, weapons, drugs and bank fraud charges. If found guilty on the homicide, Brother Mike faces the death penalty.
U.S Prosecutors believe Miske, 46, arranged for the kidnapping and murder of 23-year old Jonathan Fraser on July 30, 2016 as retribution for driving the car in a two-vehicle crash that Miske’s son, Caleb, sustained fatal injuries from in November 2015. Autopsy and police reports state that Caleb Miske-Lee, 20, was at the wheel of the car when it crashed not Fraser.
Fraser disappeared from an apartment Miske was paying for him to live at with his pregnant girlfriend. On the afternoon Fraser went missing, Miske arranged for Fraser’s girlfriend to have a spa day at an exclusive resort. Fraser’s remains have never been recovered. Informants told the FBI that Miske bought a half-million dollar boat specifically for the purpose of disposing of Fraser’s body at sea.
Miske is a convicted felon. He was arrested back in 2013 for attacking NFL player Trent Williams with a champaign bottle at his M nightclub on the eve of the NFL Pro Bowl. Williams, at that time an offensive lineman with the Washington Redskins, didn’t play in the next day’s game. These days, Williams plays with the San Francisco 49ers.
Per federal documents, Miske was a member of the Teamsters labor union in Oahu and in 2015 and 2016, (in the weeks after the car accident that claimed his son), he worked on the set of the big-budget Warner Bros. Studio film, Kong: Skull Island, as a driver for actor John Goodman.
Miske has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is currently fighting for release on bond. Miske’s attorneys attack the charges and allegations that their client is some major island mafia don as hyperbolic, overly-dramatized and downright false.
One of Miske’s reputed henchmen, Dae Han (Day-Day) Moon was convicted of shooting 20-year old Steve Feliciano to death in a shopping mall parking garage in December 2016 and is doing prison time for second-degree murder. The FBI believes Miske’s organization has been operational since the 1990s.
